I utilize the functional approach and trauma-informed cueing to empower individuals to connect with their true selves

Yoga is an opportunity to build mind and body awareness, experience mindfulness, and meditate. The yogic traditions teach of compassion and interconnectedness. I consider yoga, in the traditional sense, to be a restorative practice. It is human-centered, relational, and has a focus on healing. Yoga is a practice done with oneself and oftentimes with others. People’s practice looks different for everyone, and I believe everyone receives what they need through their practice. Yoga is a great way to approach holistic health, as it appeals to the mind, body, and spirit. It can be a liberatory practice for some, as meditation aids in the process of self realization and challenging postures can feel very empowering. As showcased in the quotes here, yoga means union; a union of mind, body, and spirit. A togetherness, a connectedness, a solidarity.

If you are looking to bring yoga into your life/community and have financial barriers, please reach out to me and I will seek outside funding and donate my time when I can.

looking to move?

Hatha yoga is the oldest form of yoga. Hatha means vital energy and yoga means union. This practice invites us to unite our energy through pranayama/breathing exercises, holding asana/postures, and guided meditation.

looking to meditate?

I teach guided meditation in the form of yoga nidra. If you are looking to begin a silent meditation practice, please reach out to me and we can figure something out.
